Charge RN - Emergency Room

The Charge Nurse (CN) has shift responsibility within the clinical setting to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients’ on the assigned unit. Facilitates the placement of patients based on acuity and staffing within assigned departments. Acts as a clinical resource to assist with admissions and discharges. Acts as a liaison and resource to nursing staff , troubleshoots and facilitates. Collaborates with Administrative Supervisor and manager regarding daily staffing. Education / Training: Graduate from an approved school of nursing. Bachelor's degree preferred in nursing, business or health related field or must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program in nursing, business, or health related field. Must be enrolled in a program within three months of being in the position. Time allotted to employee for completion of the individualized education plan is based on the curriculum required to complete the degree, not to exceed five years. Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in the state of Florida. Maintains compliance with all appropriate clinical certifications and training. National specialty certification preferred
Experience: Two (2) years experience in a clinical area.
