Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Emergency Department/Air Care Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the safe, efficient, effective delivery of nursing care according to the established policies of the department, West Jefferson Medical Center, and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. The individual in this position demonstrates problem solving/decision making skills, communication/interpersonal skills, staff management and development skills, knowledge of policy and procedure, as well as fiscal responsibility. The Emergency Department/Air Care oversees the daily operations of those providing direct care to urgently through critically ill patients. This position is responsible for the coordination and/or implementation of ancillary and support services. The Emergency Department/Air Care Clinical Coordinator is the team leader and is responsible for mentoring and developing the unit management team to assure delivery of quality care.
