Under the direction of the Director of Nursing the Family Birth Place Clinical Director is responsible for the safe, efficient, effective delivery of nursing care according to the established policies of the department, West Jefferson Medical Center and the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. The Family Birth Place Clinical Director is a direct care provider who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients. The Family Birth Place Clinical Director is responsible for the coordination and/or implementation of ancillary and support services. The Family Birth Place Clinical Director is a team leader and is responsible for mentoring and developing the unit management team to ensure delivery of quality care. *
