Clinical Nurse Manager-Perianesthesia Care Unit - PACU
Description:
Accountable for 24-hr management of the South PACU patient care unit. Partners with physicians and other disciplines to assure quality patient/family centered care. The Clinical Manager plans, organizes, manages and directs the activities of hospital department(s). This position has continuous operational authority and responsibility for accomplishments of the hospital departmental goals and objectives. This position has operational authority and development over the PACU, and adult Pre-Admission Testing Clinic in Periop areas. This position is also responsible for supporting the staff to facilitate a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach in the provision of health care within a specialty area. This role functions as a role model and resource person to these key areas and is familiar with the family-centered philosophy. This position establishes and maintains effective relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff, administration, other departments and external agencies to identify expectations, determine variance, jointly identify targets, design or modify processes, and monitor and evaluate the results leading to additional improvement.
Qualifications:
· Current unencumbered Oregon Nursing License.
· BSN or bachelor's degree in related field required. Previous perioperative experience required, relevant clinical experience, demonstrated management and leadership experience required.
· Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals and objectives, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills required.
· Demonstrated organizational skills, preferably in the healthcare industry, demonstrated problem solving skills and fiscal/budgetary skills.
· Prefer: Relevant Master's Degree, previous pediatric surgery experience.
