Customer Service and Collections Supervisor

Location: Reading - Pennsylvania
Rate: $ 40 to $ 60 K (Permanent)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Customer Service and Collections Supervisor plays a pivotal role within the Central Business Office (CBO) by managing the relationships, communication and overall billing service provided to thousands of guarantors. The Customer Service and Collections Supervisor manages a team of Customer Service Specialists that handle incoming calls from guarantors regarding questions about their billing statements, wanting to pay their bill over the phone or to complain about the service they were provided. In addition to the direct customer facing aspect of this job, the Customer Service and Collections Supervisor also manages the tasks involved with pre-collections. This staff performs outreach to guarantors that have not paid their bill in an effort to collect the outstanding balances prior to transferring the balance to an outside collection agency. The Customer Service and Collections Supervisor handles this work for both primary care and specialty care self-pay billing and collections. The Customer Service and Collections Supervisor monitors staff productivity and quality and regularly meets with his/her direct reports to review results and to identify ways to improve productivity in an effort to enhance revenue. The Customer Service and Collections Supervisor also coaches, counsels and mentors staff members in an effort to develop staff and improve teamwork, morale and overall results.
