Responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, and staffing of the Health Information Management which includes medical transcription, coding and abstracting, record processing, and release of information. The Director supports the overall strategic direction and initiatives for CVMC and plays an integral role in the revenue cycle management program. Bachelors Degree and RHIA, or Associates Degree and RHIT. Requires broad knowledge of healthcare industry, insurance industry, and regulatory standards. Proficiency in PC knowledge, software applications and hardware a must. Good research, social, analytical and problem-solving skills. 5 years managerial experience in an acute care setting. Must be able to interact effectively.
