Leads and directs the day-to-day operations of the Performance Improvement (PI) Department The Director plays a major role in the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and the fostering of collaborative relationships within Performance Improvement and the institution as a whole Sets and manages department and organization-level PI standards, programs and strategies considering organization direction, legal and regulatory requirements and customer needs The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a Master's Degree in a health care related field or have evidence of attaining Clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting is required Knowledge of Joint commission standards and acute care infection prevention practices preferred Strong computing, communication and facilitation skills are essential to the position Certified Profession in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) or similar is preferred.
