Responsible for the clinical vision and practice of discipline specific therapy services throughout the organization. Responsible for establishing standards of care, state of the art practices, and exploring and implementing cutting edge technologies and practices as the field demands. Responsible for establishing research projects to further the growth of speech therapy within the organization as well as regionally and nationally. Helps drive long range planning for potential service growth. Assumes clinical responsibilities as applicable. Engages in public relations, educational activities in the local community and professional arena. Director of Speech and Hearing also assumes the role of Coordinator of the Comprehensive Feeding Program. Earned Doctorate or Masters Degree required by profession. Minimum of five years of practice including a minimum of four years of pediatric practice experience in profession. Minimum of five years of
supervision/management experience. Experience in interdisciplinary team programming. Experience in a pediatric rehabilitation setting. Solid academic and/or publishing background desired. NJ License required.
