Must possess excellent routine Histology skills to include processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, frozen sectioning, IHC, specimen accessioning, IMF, and routine machine maintenance. Ability to process tissue specimens and prepare blocks, slides and stains to assist the pathologist in patient diagnosis Assist with training of new employee and students. Job may require travel between Carilion facilities. May require some heavy lifting. May work with hazardous chemicals, noxious odors and infectious diseases.
