Performs nursing care responsibilities with supervision to ensure safe and consistent quality care. Exhibits essential working knowledge and assessment skills to recognize and report on patient’s symptoms and to address special needs as they arise. Responsible for documenting behaviors and treatment, initiating supportive interactions with patients around treatment issues, performing constant observations to ensure patient safety, and the ability to intervene in crisis situations. May be required to lead or co-lead psycho-educational groups with patients as directed by the direct manager/supervisor. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field w/emphasis on behavioral sciences and 2 years related experience preferably in a psychiatric setting. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Valid driver’s license required.
