Position Summary In this position, the manager is responsible for organizing, planning, ongoing development, direction, and implementation of the Risk Management Program at SVH (including all owned ambulatory care centers and employed physician practices) under the Direction of the Chief Executive Officer (ref. SCLHS Board Policy – Risk Management and Workers Compensation). Coordinates and integrates the Risk Management Program across all hospital departments and with the medical staff. The manager acts as the Risk Management resource for the hospital and medical staff; assists the Performance Excellence Director with the development and management of the Risk Management Department budget; and, supervises, evaluates, and develops the Risk Management Department staff. The manger performs job specific Risk Management duties and responsibilities of Loss Prevention, Claims Management, Risk Financing, and, collaborates with the Director, Performance Excellence in the leadership of the Patient Safety Program at SVH.
