The OR Tech, under the supervision of the OR RN and the Surgeon, is responsible for the age specific and safety of patients undergoing surgical intervention based on the standards of AORN. The OR Tech is responsible for setting up the operating room for surgery using sterile technique, assisting in surgery by handling instruments to surgeons and assists in cleaning rooms as well as restocking supplies used in surgery. Graduate of a school of Surgical Technology or military equivalent. Must be CPR certified and maintain it while employed.
