Occupational Therapist*
Location: Loma Linda - California
Rate: N/A (Permanent) + Healthcare Insurance Benefits Equivalent to N/A + Healthcare Insurance Benefits
Provides advanced patient care including assessments, goal setting, treatment planning, caregiver training and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with Occupational Therapy practice act and department policy and procedure. Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Specifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Current NBCOT Registration and California Licensure, current CPR (AHA). Minimum of 1 year experience in a rehabilitation setting (Inpatient/Outpatient). Able to read, write legibly, speak English with professional quality; use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment; perform technical patient care activities. Ability to relate positively, effectively and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach and collaborate; accept direction. Demonstrates understanding of the economics of rehabilitation (i.e. funding policies and sources, accreditation, marketability, cost management, managed care, case management systems, materials management, etc.) Cooperates with management and other associates in achieving organizational goals, clinical program and mission. Integrates clinical and administrative feedback and direction. Ability to think critically, perform basic math functions, manage multiple assignments effectively, organize and prioritize workload, work well under pressure, problem solve, recall information, pay close attention to detail. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
