The Department of Pediatrics at Gundersen Lutheran is seeking a 1.0 FTE physician to staff the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as work in a specialty area such as pediatric anesthesia, pulmonology or pediatric inpatient hospital service. The ideal candidate would be interested in .5 PICU/.5 inpatient and sedation Board certification in pediatric critical care is preferred, but certification in another specialty area (eg, pediatric anesthesia or pulmonology) is acceptable. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with two other board-certified critical care physicians as well as pediatric hospitalists. The Department of Pediatrics consists of 14 general pediatricians, a variety of pediatric specialists and 13 associate staff. Our pediatric specialty areas include allergy/asthma/immunology, behavioral health, cardiology, dentistry, developmental and behavioral, genetics, hematology/oncology, neonatology, nephrology, surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, ophthalmology, and orthopaedic surgery. Pediatric inpatients are cared for on a 19 bed inpatient ward, 8 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and 4 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
