Pharm Technician II Pharmacy Job

Rotating shifts, weekends, holidays Day MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in a health or science related field preferred, or the equivalent in education and experience required. Previous pharmacy (retail or hospital) work experience desired. CPhT certification required within one year. Previous computer experience required. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure situations essential. Will be required to successfully complete the proficiency exams within specifications. Inpatient Pharmacy - Full time. Rotating weekends & holidays, as well as off shift rotation. At Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center , pharmacy technicians work collaboratively with pharmacists to provide patient focused care. Technicians achieve national certification within one year of employment and have the opportunity to work and specialize in various areas of pharmacy. Under the supervision of pharmacists, technicians utilize robotics and automated dispensing cabinets to distribute medication. They compound medications for our specialty populations and prepare intravenous medications including, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products. Technicians serve on many departmental committees and are vital in ensuring accurate, timely distribution of medication to our patients.
