Responsible for performing phlebotomies on inpatients/ outpatients of all ages. Must have basic knowledge pertaining to testing being performed, requirements in specimen collection and follow the procedures and policies for performing the phlebotomy. Plays an important role in representing the Lab by being both professional and caring to the patient’s needs. Must have knowledge of LIS procedures for ordering, obtaining specimen collection lists, logging in specimens, and follow-up on unavailable specimen lists. High school diploma strongly preferred. Experience preferred, but not required. Licensure/ Certification: strongly preferred.
