Variable between hours of 7:45 and 5:00 Day At the direction of the Department Manager, to provide an exceptional level of customer service serving as a liaison between to referring physicians (or their representatives), patients, and other DHMC departments. Tasks will include answering calls, and processing FAXes and emails, to facilitate appointment requestsfrom referring physicians and patients; and monitoring appointment progress to ensure top-notch customer service efficient, accurate scheduling. Applicants should be open to and excited about change; they should also be able to identify and correct inefficiencies, and be comfortable with measurement of work performance and supervisory direction MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE : Associates degree with a minimum of one year of previous experience working in a medical setting, or the equivalent required. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills required. Ability to work independently and to demonstrate the capability to use sound judgement in decision making. Broad knowledge of computers with previous experience working with databases desired. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
