Carries out patient treatment program as planned and directed by the physical therapist. Responsible for the patient's care and environment throughout treatment. Follows established procedures and observes safety precautions. Keeps accurate documentation of treatment and response. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement. Responsible for professional growth and acts in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the APTA. Assists with the entering of charges and reconciliation of daily charges. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and associates degree from accredited PTA program. Requires current TX PTA license and CPR certification.
