Performs assigned treatment procedures under the direction of the physical therapist and upon receipt of a physician order. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate of the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. They must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. They must interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures Basic Education AZ State Certification and Licensure Associate's Degree from a school for Physical Therapist Assistants Basic Experience 6 months Basic Field-of-Expertise (if applicable) AA degree from accredited school Physical Therapist Assistant; AZ State Certification and Licensure
