Provides physical therapy treatment for inpatients and outpatients Treatment is delivered after the patient has been evaluated by a licensed physical therapist and the therapist has established treatment goals and a treatment plan The physical therapy assistant is responsible for carrying out the treatment plan and providing patient and family education as appropriate The physical therapy assistant will advise the supervising physical therapist of any changes in patient status The physical therapy assistant documents patient progress and objective findings.
