Day Normal 0 0 1 91 520 4 1 638 11.1282 0 0 0 At the direction of the Director of the Transfusion Medicine Research Laboratory (TmRL), plan, coordinate, monitor, and perform TmRL Quality System functions pertaining to Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, Document Control, and Regulatory Compliance. These activities will support the primary mission of establishing a fully operational, cGMP compliant, blood bank program for the production, inventory, distribution and study of cryopreserved platelet products for military and other trauma/surgical uses. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree with MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification and a minimum of 4 years Blood Banking required. Additional familiarity with blood donor program services and aseptic processing in a cGMP environment are strongly preferred. Specialty laboratory certification and advanced training/certification in Quality Systems Management preferred. Position requires circumspect problem-solving skills and good mathematical and computer skills including competence in Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, consensus building skills and a team approach required
