Evaluates patient’s medical condition to determine that patient can be safely managed and is able to participate in treatment. Gathers insurance information and completes necessary pre-certifications. Documents clinical justification for level of care, presents clinical case to the admitting physician for determination of diagnosis, acceptance of clinical information, review of overall condition and final determination of level of care and admitting order. Knowledge of managed care, insurance benefit verification and pre-certification requirements. Knowledge of level of care criteria. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be currently licensed by the State of Vermont Board of Nursing. A minimum three years experience in behavioral health preferred.
