The RN is a professional registered nurse who functions as a primary nurse and has responsibility and accountability for quality nursing care in assessing, planning, implementing, educating and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with all established Hospital Policies Procedures, and the Nursing Practice Act. The RN''s activities reflect support of medical care as directed by the medical staff and consistent with our mission, values and guiding principles. He/she is responsible for managing supplies, and equipment on the unit and for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Must be a Cardiovascular Recovery Nurse with experience in caring for the immediate open heart patient. Must demonstrate competency with pulmonary artery catheter management, ventilator management/weaning, vasopressor titration, and astute patient assessment skills. Missouri RN license required. Must have BLS and ACLS or be willing to obtain within first 3 months of hire date. Must work weekend and holiday rotation as required.
