RN (Circulating Nurse), Surgical Services

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and assures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Must possess and maintain current RN licensure to practice in Oklahoma. Current BCLS certification required; must be obtained during initial orientation if not current upon hire. Current ACLS and PALS certification preferred; must be obtained during the first year of employment if not current upon hire. A lapse in certification may not extend beyond 3 months. Minimum of one-year work experience in the operating room preferred. Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
