Provides for the health care of patients within existing standards of care. Primarily responsible for the admission database, ongoing assessment, the nursing care plan, discharge planning, teaching, evaluation of the nursing care plan and/or meeting customer service needs. Provides direct supervision to other members of the nursing team, prescribes nursing care, delegates care to be provided, and coordinates the nursing plan of care. This position will care for patients in the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Employee performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures.
