Performs in expanded professional nurse role as a first assistant to the cardiothoracic surgeon. Harvests vessel conduits, assists with anastamosis/closure. Formulates/implements plan of care based on each patients' needs and disease process. Cares for each assigned patient intraoperatively and assesses patient status, and formulates nursing care plan with ongoing evaluations and adjustments to meet patients' continuing needs. Performs related work as required. Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
