Assists physician with colonoscopies, EGD’s. ERCP’s and is responsible for record keeping and ordering/maintenance of supplies and equipment. Utilizes SDS staff RN’s as support personnel. Is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Utilizes initiative, strives to maintain steady level of productivity. Is a self-starter. Is compatible and supportive, a team player. Communication on behalf of the patient reflects the mission, ethics and goals of the Hospital as well as the focus statement of the Department. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and Hospital policies, procedures and standards. Paid on-call hours are required. Education/Regulatory Requirements Experience: Must possess and maintain current RN licensure to practice in Oklahoma. Current BCLS certification required; must be obtained during initial orientation if not current upon hire. Current ACLS and PALS certification required; must be obtained during the first year of employment if not current upon hire. A lapse in certification may not extend beyond 3 months. Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required. Language Skills: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
