RN Shift Manager

Under the general supervision of the Director, the Shift Manager is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes management responsibility for the Unit during a shift. The Shift Manager is to assure unit activities support safe quality patient care. Rounds throughout the shift to monitor staff performance, assessing patient care, outcomes and documentation, meeting physician needs and coaching staff. Takes an active role in unit based Quality initiatives and monitors productivity standards during shift. Assists in the selection of new staff and supports the orientation process and clinical coach role. Supports the Director in achieving the goals and objectives of the unit.
