Summary/Responsibilities
•Responsible for general administration and oversight of University Health System radiology services at all locations, including: University Hospital, University Health Center-Downtown, University Family Health Center-Southeast, University Family Health Center-Southwest, University Family Health Center-North, University Center for Community Health, and the Cancer Therapy and Research Center.
•Monitors and analyzes departmental workflow and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure effective and efficient operations.
•Works with major stakeholders to develop short and long term strategic plans or objectives for the department that functions within the scope of the UHS strategic plan.
•Monitors radiology expenses and revenue on a monthly basis, explaining variances to supervisor(s).
•Prepares annual and multi-year needs assessments for department capital needs, and manages all radiology department service agreements, leases, and other contracts with outside vendors.
•Ensures appropriate staffing to meet regulatory, workload, and performance standards as set forth by federal law, state law, and benchmarking goals.
Education/Experience
•Bachelor degree in health care administration, business administration, or a radiology- related field required.
•2 years management experience at the Director, Assistant Director, or equivalent level required.
•Master’s degree, registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and management experience in a university affiliated hospital setting preferred.
