Follows physician’s orders for evaluation and treatment of all patients referred to speech therapy. This position is responsible for charting patient evaluation, treatment and progress as well as communicating patient status to physician and other appropriate hospital staff. Supervision, management and training of speech therapy students is provided. Provides patient and family education regarding cognitive, communication and swallowing disorders. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in speech pathology required. Certificate of clinical competency required within one year of date of hire (will accept Clinical Fellow if supervision is available within the organization). Illinois license required within 1 year of date of hire (will accept Clinical Fellow if supervision is available within the organization). CPR required. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
