Job Description:
As a Sr. Contract Negotiator, you will be responsible for the timely negotiation and renewals of Payor physician, hospital and ancillary facility contracts. You will conduct analysis and strategy development with other top executive team members, clinical practice administrators and hospital directors in order to complete competitive rate contracts.
Candidates will be performing intensive contract negotiations, with a focus on behavioral health services for the practice and for the upcoming Behavioral Health Pavilion that is expected to open in the summer of 2011. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, analyzing and evaluating all contract components. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of behavioral health contracting and operations. You will be held responsible for championing the hospital and practice plans’ needs and formulating contracts that represent the best value for the organization. As a liaison for the hospital and practice plan, you will establish close knit relationships with external and internal members of the community, therefore immersing yourself in the industry.
Requirements include:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Finance, Business or a closely related field. A Masters degree is preferred, plus three years of successful contracting and negotiating experience to include hospitals and physician groups. We will consider candidates with an Associates degree plus six years of related experience.
