Staff Nurse Radiation Oncology Job

Radiation Oncology Day RN Required 1 year of experience required Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is one of only 30 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the U.S. , is rated by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 50 hospitals for cancer care nationally, and is the first facility in New Hampshire to achieve Magnet status for nursing excellence. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility located in the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire, a scenic setting in which to live and work. The Radiation Oncology Staff Nurse works as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, Radiation Therapists and Physicists to coordinate the care and provide symptom management to a disease- specific group of Radiation Oncology patients. The Radiation Oncology Nurse is responsible for essential aspects of the patient’s care throughout the treatment process. She/He reports to the Nurse Manager and Nurse Coordinator. Must be licensed to practice in New Hampshire and acquire licensure in Vermont in order to provide occasional nursing coverage at the NCCCN in St. Johnsbury. At least 1 year of Oncology experience required with Radiation Oncology nursing experience a plus. Membership in the Oncology Nursing Society and OCN are helpful. Continuing Education and committee participation are available and encouraged. This is a full time 40 hour Monday through Friday position however, possibility exists for 4 day week depending on circumstances
