A registered nurse who provides, skilled, creative nursing care to the critical care patient while supervising, teaching, recording, and evaluating the professional nursing care given to the patients. The patient population primarily served is usually adults age 18 to geriatric, but may rarely include infants, and children to age 17. A pediatric nurse would always be available to assist in the care of infant and children. Participates in rotating call schedule.
